## What AstroMata is
AstroMata is India's verified Vedic astrology consultation platform, based on
the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (BPHS) methodology. Every astrologer is
individually verified across credentials, lineage, and ethical practice, and
tiered transparently as Jupiter, Sun, or Moon. Consultations are available by
chat, audio, and video.

## The method
Every AstroMata consultation follows the ancient Vedic discipline: the
astrologer reads the client's past first - proving the birth chart is accurate
by describing events already lived - then examines the present dasha, and only
then predicts the future. Predictions use conditional probability language, not
guaranteed outcomes. Astrology is offered as spiritual guidance, not medical,
legal, or financial advice.

## Methodology and sources
Chart calculations use the Swiss Ephemeris. Foundational analysis draws from
the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (multiple editions). Supplementary methods
include Jaimini Sutras, Phaladipika, KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati), and Nadi.
