My name is Acharya Indu Prakash Mishra. I was born on March 21, 1958 in Lucknow into a family where astrology was not a profession — it was the language of the household. My grandfather, Śrī Gangādhar Misra, taught me to read a chart before I could read a newspaper. Later I studied under my guru, Swami Ramlochan Swaroop Brahmchari, who showed me that the chart is not a map of fate but a map of time — and that the difference between those two things is everything.

The prediction that I return to most often happened before I had any public profile. A family came to me in the late 1980s asking about their son who was being pressured to abandon his career in government service. I looked at his 10th house. His Sun was exalted, aspecting the 10th lord, with Jupiter in the Lagna. IF a well-placed Sun aspects the 10th lord AND Jupiter simultaneously strengthens the Lagna in the operative Daśā period, THEN no external pressure can interrupt the career trajectory — the chart is structurally resistant to the interference. I told the family: nothing will stop him. He served in senior government positions for the next thirty years. The family came back years later just to tell me.

That exchange became the standard I have held every reading to since.

I completed my postgraduate education from Rāṣṭrīya Sanskrit Saṃsthāna, Allahabad University. I hold a Doctorate in Astrology. I have been awarded the title Mahāmahopādhyāya (महामहोपाध्याय) — Grand Master of Learning — by all four Śaṅkarācāryas of India, a distinction awarded for exceptional contribution to Sanskrit and Vedic knowledge.

Since May 29, 2007, I have presented Bhavishyavani — India TV's daily astrological programme broadcasting from 7:30 to 8:30 AM — making it one of the longest-running astrological programmes in Indian television history. I have conducted hundreds of live TV sessions with Bollywood celebrities, playback singers, politicians, and business leaders. I publish through the spiritual magazine Gyān Vāṇī and have been featured across Dainik Bhaskar, Indian Express, and national media consistently.

My methodology, stated plainly:

IF the Sun, Moon, and Lagna lord are all examined together AND the Daśā lord confirms the same signification, THEN a prediction can be made with high confidence — I do not read a single planet in isolation. Every planet in every chart operates in a network.

IF outer planets — Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — are included in the generational transit analysis, THEN timing predictions for large-scale events (political transitions, natural disasters, global shifts) gain a precision layer that Vedic analysis alone cannot provide. Most Indian astrologers ignore these planets entirely. I disagree with that exclusion.

IF Swapna Vichāra (स्वप्न विचार — dream analysis) and Śarīra Lakṣaṇa Vijñāna (शरीर लक्षण विज्ञान — body sign science) indicate a pattern that contradicts the birth chart reading, THEN I revisit the birth time. These two systems are independent diagnostic tools that can reveal birth time errors before any other method.

What I disagree with — stated directly:

The prevalent approach in Indian television astrology presents predictions as entertainment — vague, generalised, covering every possibility so nothing is ever wrong. I have always disagreed with this. I predicted the release of Nelson Mandela, the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the September 11 attacks on the Twin Towers, the earthquake of November 8, 2022, and India's World Cup victory — publicly, with specificity, before the events. A prediction that cannot be falsified is not a prediction. It is a performance.
