1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing the AstroMata website or booking a consultation, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. What AstroMata provides

AstroMata is a platform that connects clients with verified Vedic astrologers for paid consultations delivered by chat, audio, or video. The astrologers listed on the platform are independent practitioners who have been vetted by us across credentials, lineage, and ethics, and grouped into three verification tiers (Guru, Surya, Chandra).

3. Nature of astrological consultations

Astrological consultations are guidance, not a substitute for professional advice. Specifically:

• Astrology is not a substitute for licensed medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. For decisions in those domains, consult a qualified professional.
• Predictions made during a consultation are interpretations of planetary positions and are inherently uncertain. We do not guarantee any specific outcome.
• Remedies, gemstones, mantras, and ritual suggestions are offered as traditional practices. Any commitment of time, money, or change in lifestyle in response to such a remedy is your own decision.
• In an emergency — medical, mental health, or safety — please contact emergency services immediately, not an astrologer.

4. Booking, payment, and pricing

• Session prices are displayed on each astrologer's profile and at checkout. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay; applicable GST is included or stated separately.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay. By completing a booking you authorise Razorpay to charge the chosen payment method on our behalf.
• A booking is confirmed only after the payment is successfully captured. Until then, the slot is held provisionally and may be released.

5. Rescheduling and cancellation

• Free reschedule: You may reschedule a confirmed booking once, free of cost, if you request the change at least 12 hours before the slot.
• Cancellation by you: Cancellations requested at least 24 hours before the slot are eligible for a full refund. Between 12 and 24 hours, 50% is refunded. Inside 12 hours, the session is non-refundable.
• Cancellation by the astrologer: If your astrologer cancels or fails to show up for the booked slot, you receive a full refund or the option to reschedule with the same or another astrologer at no additional cost.
• Refund timeline: Approved refunds are initiated within 3 working days and typically reflect in your bank account within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank.

6. Client conduct

To keep AstroMata a respectful space for astrologers and clients alike, you agree to:

• Provide accurate birth details. Inaccurate dates or times produce inaccurate readings, and the responsibility for that rests with the client.
• Treat astrologers with respect during the session. Abusive, harassing, or threatening behaviour is grounds for immediate session termination without refund and may result in a permanent ban.
• Refrain from recording the session without prior written consent of the astrologer.
• Use the platform only for your own personal guidance — not to redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the content of a consultation.

7. Astrologer independence and content

Each astrologer is an independent practitioner. While AstroMata vets credentials and maintains conduct standards, we do not author or pre-approve the specific interpretations or remedies offered during a consultation. The relationship is between you and the astrologer; AstroMata facilitates and supports it.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including the design, the verification-tier system, written copy, illustrations, and SVG iconography — is the property of AstroMata or its licensors and is protected by Indian and international copyright law. You may not reproduce, republish, or commercially use the content without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AstroMata's total liability arising out of or related to your use of the platform is limited to the amount you actually paid for the consultation in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or opportunity, arising from decisions you make based on an astrological reading.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold AstroMata, its directors, employees, and verified astrologers harmless from any claim, damage, or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the platform.

11. Privacy

Your personal information is handled per our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Modifications

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the platform after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or related to the use of the platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
