Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2026. We want every consultation to feel worth your time and trust — here is exactly when a refund applies, and how to request one.
1. Overview
AstroMata ("we", "us", "our") provides paid Vedic astrology consultations over chat, audio, and video, along with related digital services. Payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Razorpay. This policy explains when a payment can be refunded and how cancellations are handled. By making a booking you agree to the terms below.
2. When you are eligible for a refund
We will refund your payment in full in any of these situations:
- Technical failure on our side: the consultation could not take place because of a fault in our platform (for example, the chat room never opened or the session would not connect).
- Astrologer no-show: the astrologer did not join the consultation at the confirmed time and did not propose a reschedule.
- Duplicate or erroneous charge: you were charged more than once for the same booking, or charged in error.
- Service not delivered: you paid but the consultation was never started or made available to you.
3. When a refund does not apply
Because a consultation is a personal, time-bound service that is delivered live, refunds are not available once the service has been rendered. This includes:
- A consultation that took place as booked (the astrologer joined and the session ran).
- Dissatisfaction with the predictions, remedies, or guidance given. Vedic astrology is interpretive (see our Disclaimer); we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, and a difference of opinion is not grounds for a refund.
- You did not join your own booked slot, or left the session early, without informing us in advance.
- Change of mind after the consultation has been delivered.
- Free tools (such as the free Kundli) — no payment is taken, so none is refundable.
4. Cancellations & rescheduling
- Before the consultation begins (before the astrologer has joined / the live timer has started): you may cancel for a full refund or choose to reschedule at no extra cost.
- Once the consultation has begun: the booking is treated as delivered and is non-refundable, though any unused recharge balance remains available for a future session where applicable.
5. How to request a refund
Email us at seva@astromata.com within 7 days of the booking, with your booking reference (for example AM-2026-XXXXXX) and a short description of the issue. You can also reach us at +91 7846850733. We review every request fairly and personally.
6. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Razorpay. Once approved, refunds are typically initiated within 2 business days and may take 5–7 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer.
