Last updated: May 16, 2026. Your birth chart and consultation details are sacred to us — we treat them with the discretion that has always defined this practice.
1. Who we are
AstroMata ("we", "us", "our") operates the website astromata.com and the consultation services delivered through it. We are based at Novel Tech Park, Hosur Rd, Kudlu Gate, Krishna Reddy Industrial Area, HSR Extension, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560068. 2. What information we collect
To deliver an accurate Vedic reading and a working consultation, we collect:
- Identity & contact details: name, email address, phone (WhatsApp) number, city.
- Birth information: date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. This is used to compute the chart and is treated as confidential.
- Consultation details: your question, the astrologer you select, the chosen mode (chat, audio, video), and the slot you book.
- Payment information: we use Razorpay as our payment processor. Card and bank details are handled directly by Razorpay and never stored on our servers — we only retain the transaction reference, amount, and status.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and basic analytics for the purpose of improving the site.
3. How we use your information
- To deliver the consultation you booked — including sharing your name, birth details, and question with the specific astrologer you chose.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups by email and WhatsApp.
- To process payments and issue invoices/receipts.
- To respond to enquiries you submit through the website.
- To improve the website, troubleshoot issues, and detect abuse.
- To comply with applicable law, including issuing GST-compliant invoices where required.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
- We do not share your birth chart or consultation transcript with anyone outside the astrologer you booked and the small operations team that supports the platform.
- We do not use your data to train AI models or any unrelated product.
5. Service providers
We rely on a small number of vetted service providers to operate the platform. Each is bound by contract to use your data only for the specific purpose of providing their service:
- Razorpay — payment processing.
- Hostinger — website hosting.
- WhatsApp / Email providers — transactional messaging.
6. How long we keep your data
Booking and consultation records are retained for as long as you remain a client and for up to 7 years thereafter, as required by Indian tax and accounting law. Enquiry data not converted to a booking is retained for up to 24 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see Section 8.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Birth and consultation data is stored on managed servers with restricted access. Payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant Razorpay infrastructure and never touches our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply industry-standard practices and review them regularly.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccuracy in that information.
- Delete your information, subject to tax-record retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
- Object to specific uses of your data.

9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — session cookies to keep you signed in to the booking flow, and a CSRF cookie to protect forms from cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
10. Children
AstroMata is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top, and for material changes we'll notify existing clients by email.
