My name is Kathryn Silverton. I have practised astrology since 1975 — which means I have been reading charts longer than most practising astrologers have been alive. I hold a Master's degree in Psychology. I am nationally certified by the American Federation of Astrologers and have served on their Board of Directors since 2021. I spent ten years on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Atlanta Astrological Society, including four years as President.
None of those credentials are why clients come back to me for twenty years. They come back because of what happened with a house.
In 2000, a client of mine was selling her home in Atlanta. I identified the date she should list the property. Then I identified the exact date a serious buyer would walk through. She called me afterwards. The buyer had appeared on the precise date I had given her — and the offer followed exactly within the timing window I had outlined. She told me later she had told that story to everyone she knew. That is the kind of precision I am describing when I say timing is everything. Not a range. Not a quarter. A date.
This is the core of my practice: IF the planetary transits to a natal chart identify a specific window for a high-stakes decision AND the progressed chart confirms the same timing, THEN the event can be predicted to within days — not months. This applies to surgery. It applies to real estate. It applies to elections. It applies to any moment where the difference between Tuesday and Thursday actually matters.
My methodology, stated plainly:
IF a client is planning elective surgery AND Saturn is transiting the natal 6th house lord AND the Moon is in a difficult sign on the proposed date, THEN the surgery date should be moved — regardless of how convenient the proposed date is. The chart does not negotiate with the calendar. IF the surgery date is moved to a period where the Moon is in a supportive sign AND the 6th house lord is unafflicted by transit, THEN surgical outcomes improve measurably. I have practised Medical Astrology for decades specifically because this is the application where timing is not philosophical — it is physical.
IF AstroCartography analysis shows a client's Jupiter line passes through a specific city AND their natal 10th house lord is strong in that location's relocated chart, THEN career advancement in that city is structurally supported — the geography and the chart are aligned. I have given relocation recommendations that produced documented career shifts for clients who acted on the analysis.
IF a client needs to time a real estate sale AND the transiting Venus and Jupiter are both activating the natal 2nd and 8th houses simultaneously, THEN the window for a favourable sale is open — and I can identify the specific dates within that window when buyer interest peaks.
What I disagree with — stated directly:
The dominant assumption in popular astrology — that sun sign horoscopes constitute meaningful personal guidance — is the single most damaging simplification in the history of the subject. A sun sign column written for one-twelfth of the world's population simultaneously cannot reflect the specific timing of any individual's life. It creates the impression that astrology is entertainment. Real astrology is precision. I have forecast the outcome of every American Presidential election since Bill Clinton in 1992 with 100% accuracy — with the single exception of 2016. That record was not built on sun sign columns. It was built on detailed chart analysis and documented publicly before each result.
